Several of my academic peers were posting on facebook about their frustrations with high school curriculum this past week. Students weren’t mastering needed college skills, but they were “perceived” to be prepared and often “above average.” Today, we discuss these frustrations & the research from Dr. Todd Rose in The Myth of Average. Rose argues when we don’t consider the individual student at all, we are also doing a disservice to our overall education system.
